Shelf Bins

Shelf bins are tough, durable, high density, generally plastic bins made for storage purposes in work environments. Most are molded from polypropylene or polyethylene and are made to fit twelve, eighteen, and twenty-four inch deep shelving as well as racks, vertical storage and retrieval units.

Shelf bins allow you to control inventories in your work environment, shorten assembly times, and minimize the amount of time you spend handling parts. They stack easily on top of each other and sit on shelving, racks, panels, rails, and carts.

Strength and Resistance

These containers are waterproof and protect against grease and oil. They are also impervious to many chemicals as they are unaffected by weak acids and alkalis. Their generally one-piece construction is not only corrosion-proof but also rust-proof. Many shelf bins are extremely heat resistant, with some being able to resist up to 250 degrees Fahrenheit. Most will not crack under normal loads.

Accessibility and Identification of Contents

Wide fronts allow access to the entirety of a bin's contents. Many such bins offer label holders for easy identification. Most are offered in a wide range of colors and sizes. Accessories for shelf bins include: dividers, bin cups, and extended label holders. Length-wise dividers are made often of black polypropylene and create compartments within shelf bins for additional sorting organization. Most bins can house up to seven compartment dividers. Bin cups fit in and lift easily out of bins for the organized storing and retrieval of parts. Extended label holders are made for bar code scanning tasks. Bin lids cover shelf bins to keep contents even more secure from dust and other foreign matter. Many lids are made of see-through crystal styrne.

Shelf Bin Systems

Shelf bin storage systems are wide and varied. Hanging systems maximize floor space for increasing storage and handling efficiency. Racks can be secured to the floor or a wall and wall-mountable panels provide even more solidity. They are relatively easy to assemble, requiring no more than one set of hands. Rail hanging systems are also great options to economize your storage. Single and double rail units provide flexibility in how you place your bins. These can hold multiple sizes of shelf bins. Many of these racks are made of steel, an ideal work environment material. Cabinet systems that lock are great for protecting parts from theft as well as dust and damaged. Many of these systems come fully assembled and ready to be employed. Options include solid, quick-view, or secure view (made from metal mesh) doors. They are mostly made from steel.
