Carpet Cleaning

Carpet cleaning is the process of covering a carpet in warm sudsy water, allowing it to penetrate, and then sucking up the water with a machine. The goal of a good carpet cleaning is to remove stains, dirt, and pet odors. Carpet cleaning can be conducted by professionals or amateurs.

A professional carpet cleaning involves the removal of all furniture off the carpet, pre-vacuuming the carpet, spot treatments to stubborn stains and heavy traffic areas, using heavy duty machines to wet the carpet with cleaning chemicals, and then soaking up the liquid with a large suction tube. Professional carpet cleaning does not include deodorizing the carpet.

Most professional carpet cleaners will charge on the amount of square feet that was cleaned and any additional costs accrued from cleaning furniture. Non-professional carpet cleaning involves the same steps however, the type and size of the machine used is dependent on how much the homeowner wants to spend.
