Invisible Dog FenceAn invisible dog fence has an electric wire that is underground around the perimeter of where the dog is to be confined. A receiver on the dog's collar beeps as the dog nears the invisible dog fence and gives a mild electric shock if he gets too close. The advantages to an invisible fence are that it improves the appearance of a person's yard and yet the dog can not leave the property. The disadvantages of an invisible dog fence is that it does not keep people or other dogs out of the yard, and if a dog wants to leave, it can endure the pain of crossing the invisible line and then go free. Also, once a dog leaves, he might not be inclined to come back knowing he must face another shock to return home. An invisible fence can be placed outside around the perimeter of a yard or flower beds, used inside to prevent the dog to enter certain rooms in the house. These systems also work well implanted around flower beds and other off-limits places, including certain rooms in the house.
