Rubber Molding

Rubber molding is the process used to accurately mold and reproduce parts quickly, consistently, and cost-effectively. Rubber products are poured, brushed or sprayed to create a flexible rubber mold that reproduces every detail from the original master. Through rubber molding, the most complex and detailed objects to be cast and removed in whatever size desired.

The most common uses for rubber molding are architectural restoration, decorative concrete, plaster casting, candle mold making, and decorative home décor. To use rubber molding, a person must first brush a gel onto whatever object she wishes to replicate. When the gel dries, a rubber mold has been created and this mold can then be used to recreate the object.

Creating a rubber mold is preferred when the removal of an object is unlikely due to the chance it will be destroyed once moved. Once the mold is created, it can be used over and over again.
